- Arnold Classic Cheerleading & Dance Championships

- Major League Soccer
- There’s no end to the excitement each season as Major League Soccer teams from both the eastern and western conferences vie for glory in regular season matches, on to the play offs and cup finals.

- Easter Egg Hunt
- During the first week in April, Citizens for Humane Action, 3765 Corporate Drive, Columbus hosts a hunt for eggs filled with cookies, prizes and toys, where the Easter Bunny will be on hand for appearing in family portraits provided by Fleshman Photography. - WildNite for Wildlife

- Vaud-Villities

- Small Press and Alternative Comics Expo (SPACE)

- RiverFest

- WaterFire on the Mile

- Selma Walker Native American Pow Pow

- PetPromise Rescue Run

- Columbus Arts Festival
- Running more than four decades, the annual Columbus Arts Festival stars some 300 visual artists and craftspeople, along with entertainment, plus food from gourmet to street treats. Most activity is on the Scioto River’s east side. Call (614) 224-2606 for more information.
- Columbus Art Affair

- Annual Roy Rogers Festival

- Santa Maria Art Festival

- Banana Split Festival

- CAPA Summer Movie Series
- During June and July, the CAPA Summer Movie Series at the magnificent Ohio Theater – one of central Ohio’s favorite summer entertainment traditions – features seven weeks of Hollywood’s big stars and most treasured films. 2005 featured films, for example: West Side Story, Some Like It Hot, Rebel Without a Cause and 14 more, plus Stooge-a-Rama, with classic Three Stooges shorts. - Red, White & Boom

- Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce Music & Arts Festival

- Jam-N Jefferson Park Festival
- On a weekend in mid-July each year, the St. Paul AME Church sponsors a festival of live entertainment, health screenings, children's activities, a Sunday morning worship service and much more. - North Market Food and Wine Festival

- Picnic with the Pups

- Over the last weekend in July, internationally known jazz musicians perform while rib enthusiasts from all over the country gather to sample a wide variety of cooking styles, sponsored by the Music in the Air and Office of Special Events programs of the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department, along the downtown Columbus waterfront. - Annual Farmers Festival

- Ohio State Fair

- Every Friday before Labor Day, sometimes in the first week of September, classic cars will be on display, with a DJ spinning oldies, midway games and face painting for kids, and awards for attendees, all to benefit G.R.I.N. - College Football
- NCAA Football, created in 1997 to promote college football ideals, makes no bones about the importance of each game. Losing at any time during the season can thwart a team's chances for postseason action or an NCAA Championship. - Native Harvest Festival
- In mid to late September, Ohio State University at Newark hosts a festival featuring an indigenous garden from the Hopewell period planted by the students of Miller Elementary School, where you can buy lunch from the Native American Indian Center of Central Ohio (NAICCO), or have a picnic and enjoy a variety of activities with the family. - Olde Pickerington Village Arts Festival

- Marion Popcorn Festival

- The New Albany Classic Invitational Grand Prix & Family Day

- National Hockey League
- The National Hockey League’s rough and tumble world packs a motherlode of milestones, from 1917’s NHL opener, to when Maurice Richard was first to score 50 goals in one season in 1944-45, to when Clint Benedict was the first goalie to put on a mask after a shot knocked him unconscious, to when Manon Rheaume made headlines in 1992 as the first woman playing in one of the four major sports leagues, goaltending for the Tampa Bay Lightning against the St. Louis Blues. From October on, it’s non-stop action in the world of hat tricks -- three goals in a game by a player -- and sudden death overtime.

- Breast Cancer Awareness Ride
- In early to mid October, beginners and experienced cyclers can select a 10 or 25 mile casual ride, enjoy live music and other entertainment, refreshments and a vendor display area, starting out from Trek Bicycle Store Columbus - New Albany, 5334 North Hamilton Road, with proceeds going to benefit the Stephanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. - Haunted Ship

- Annual Dresden Octoberfest

- Craftin’ Outlaws, an alternative craft fair, supports the growing underground DIY craft movement (enjoying a huge on-line following despite lack of support in the mass-produced world). - College Basketball
- First devised by James Naismith in 1891, with the first recorded collegiate game in 1893, legions testify there’s no sound so soothing as a basketball whooshing through the net after a flick of the wrist. NCAA basketball brings grass roots hoop dreams to an entirely new level each fall, building toward March Madness, the NCAA Division Basketball Championships.
